A yearly tune-up costs a fraction of an emergency spring or opener repair — 5 Star Garage Door Service checks the full system, not just the obvious parts.
We built our Garage Door Maintenance service around Taft, CA customers who need a specialist, not a generalist working outside their depth.
We'd rather send one truck that's actually equipped for garage door maintenance than three that aren't, even if it means a slightly longer wait on a rare occasion.
We check springs, cables, rollers, hinges, track alignment, and opener settings — the whole system.
We flag parts nearing the end of their service life so you can replace them on your schedule.
{Door balance and auto-reverse function get tested on every visit, not just new installs.|An opener working against an unbalanced door burns out years faster.|Sensor function gets verified as standard practice, every Taft, CA call.}
Annual or semi-annual plans are available for Taft, CA homeowners who'd rather not think about it until we call to schedule.
Rollers, hinges, tracks, and springs get inspected and properly lubricated — with the right product for each part, not a generic spray-everything approach.
We test door balance with the opener disconnected — since springs loosen gradually and often go unnoticed until the opener struggles.
We verify auto-reverse function and force settings meet safety standards — proper calibration extends opener lifespan significantly.
We check for track misalignment and roller wear before either causes an incident — roller bearing condition gets assessed since a seized bearing accelerates track wear.
Bottom seals and side weatherstripping get checked for cracking or gaps — replacing worn seals now is cheaper than the water damage that follows a prolonged gap.
